A girl posted this on facebook…This was my response.

“Hi, this is just a response to your pro-life poster that you posted on facebook. Sorry if this seems intrusive, but so was your poster.

So it is pretty well established that when women have more education, more family planning, and better medical care, fertility rates go down, abortion rates go down, children are better cared for, and women are healthier. And those are all things that are easily under social control, and that are not controversial. That women should be given decent obstetric care is not controversial, that alone would save hundreds of thousands of lives every year. If you want to do things that will help people, there are very easy ways to do it. That’s not just true of women, that’s true of children to. Unicef reports that about 15,000,000chidlren die every year by easily preventable causes like de-hydration, and diarrhea, things that can be very easily taken care of, especially considering it would take pennies from the rich countries to do. Now if you are serious about saving human life, saving children’s lives, there are relatively easy ways to do it. On the other hand if you look at the very militant anti-abortion persons (like yourself), are they concerned with foreign aid, are they concerned with how the united states has the most  miserable, and miserly foreign aid of any developed country by a large margin. Now our country has the wealth, the means are there, but the social design is designed to enrich the wealthy even further, and let the poor suffer, and these children  die. That’s an overwhelming problem! Once anti-abortionists are at least willing to confront these problems, others should then at least be able to take their claims seriously when they talk about values. When you take things seriously about true values on mass death on a very non-controversial topic like feeding the poor rather than increasing class division, then others can listen to you when it comes to other valued claims like abortion. I don’t think I should be interested in someone’s opinion on a certain topic like abortion ( that is already a huge controversy given the concept of personhood is different from the concept of human life. Human life occurs at conception, but fertilized eggs used for in vitro fertilization are also human lives and those not implanted are routinely thrown away. Is this murder, and if not, then how is abortion murder? ) if they are not concerned with the massive problem of killing and harming women and children that they could easily help with but are doing nothing about, and in fact making it worse by doing nothing about it. If you have the time to post anti-abortion propaganda, then you would have the same time to post topics on these issues.

If this comes down to a religious topic, well you could look at the bible and see a god that  can be called upon to justify mass genocide ((2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB),  (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV), etcetera), and be called upon to give mercy to widows and orphans, same god depending on which text you want to cherry pick.

And please please please consider where you are posting these things. I would bet there are people on facebook who have received abortions and would not like to think of themselves as the same as slave traders.”
